New York in May // Kips Bay Decorators Showhouse

Kips Bay Showhouse The month of May is always my favorite time to take a trip to New York. Two of the many reasons include the annual opening of Kips Bay Decorator Showhouse and Anna Wintour’s Costume Institute exhibit. This year’s Kips Bay Showhouse hosts a phenomenal line up of designers and is particularly special because it is the iconic Bunny Williams’ last year as chair. Kips Bay always showcases the best in design with its very selective invitation only guest list of the most ...

ArteBA // Art Scene in Latin America

I was fortunate enough to be in Buenos Aires during ARTEBA, one of Latin America’s most significant art fairs. ArteBA brings Argentinian, Brazilian, Colombian, and Chilean art to the international market and vice versa. What I love about an art fair is that is is the perfect place to meet dealers, important curators, and artists. Hence it is easy to accomplish the entire purpose of my trip during a single event. What I found through speaking with these influential people in the art ...

Don Julio What’s better than being greeted at the door with a silver bucket of ...

Currently I’m in Argentina and I apologize for the extra long “sabbatical” from posting, there is just so much to see and so little time! Back to Chile… what an amazing and vibrant art scene. My father and I visited several museums which are highly worth while. The first stop was to Museo Bellas Artes, the building itself is a neoclassical style masterpiece by Chilean-French architect Émile Jéquier. I really loved the striking glass dome made of 2,400 pieces weighing 115,000 kilos ...

Vik Chile Tucked away a little over two hours south of Santiago is the perfect getaway from the hustle and bustle of the city. It is the ideal spot for an art lover and in my case a nice first stop after a long overnight flight. We were greeted with a warm welcome by very hospitable staff, I like to call this some true “southern” hospitality and the experience only went up from there. The property in and of itself is a work of art. From its celestial gold tinted titanium rooftop by renowned ...
