About Me

I grew up constantly surrounded by art, with a mother who is both an artist and gallery owner. It was not until my first art history course at Southern Methodist University, sitting in a lecture class with old seats and no windows, that I found my passion, and established my own identity with art that was separate from my mom’s.

Born and raised in Charlotte, I moved to Dallas to attend SMU. While in college, I worked for interior design firm Kirsten Kelli in both their New York and Dallas offices. After graduating with degrees in art history and finance, I got a job working at Amy Berry Design. I loved working for these companies, both led by strong businesswomen, who are wonderful mentors and talented interior designers.

While loves design, I found myself searching for a way to further explore her passion for art which led her to plan a three-month trip around the world that she calls her “art sabbatical.” This blog will share highlights from my trip as I visit museums, galleries, private collections and meets with museum curators, gallery owners, artists, and collectors.
